Children as Life Long Learners

Providing an environment for children to grow as an individual, our goal is to implement Christian education of the future generations of young people committed to the Lord Jesus Christ. Storybrook academy applies both formal and informal learning opportunities throughout daily life in order to foster the continuous development and improvement of the knowledge and skills needed for successful endeavors and personal fulfilment

 

Roles of The Environment 

The environment we provide affects the moods, the ability to form relationships, the effectiveness in learning through play and the health of the children. Our goal is to establish and conduct an atmosphere where every child has the opportunity to learn while nurturing the children in the aspects each individual needs to grow holistically.

Young children are in the process of rapid brain development. In the early years, the brain develops more synapses or connections than it can possibly use.

Beginning in infancy and toddlerhood and continuing throughout childhood, there is the growing need to become an independent person. Children want to do things for themselves and in their own way; learning many new skills and stretching their cognitive abilities. Storybrook Academy encourages their abilities to reach the milestones throughout each individual’s childhood.
